Lack of power below 2300rpm. After driving a long distance (>100km) sometimes MIL iluminates when going into lower gear or idle (stoping at traffic light for example) and engine acts like if it had 30HP until it exceeds 3500rpm - then MIL goes off and the car run normal for another 80-100km. The only DTC after MIL goes on is:
"P0400-005 EGR system flow insufficient recognized"

Vacuum pump is OK, MAF new, pipes are new, EGR valve was replaced some time ago, nothing helped. I swapped electrovalves from another Y20DTH, still nothing.

Any help VERY appreciated - it's my private junk Wink

found one problem: a small leak at the connection to air recirculation flap (a bit on the left from cabin filter). Now there are no DTC and it goes a bit better. Now it's lack of power below 2000rpm.

did you check the working of the 'squire valves"(or how the are called) in the intake system (dirty)?

Swirl valve? I'm going to wash whole intake.... as soon as I have time to do it.

BTW. Do you think cleaning intercooler may help? The intake rubber hose gets quite hot (about 70 degrees) after a ten minutes ride.

with a clogged cooler you would have more powerloss above 3000 rpm.
70 degrees at intake side of cooler at these summer temperatures is possible. thats why a cooler is fitted.

I cleaned intercooler both inside and outside (veeeery dirty). Runs a bit better: sleepy 'till 1900rpm, after that burns rubber. And last but not least: intake manifold air about 20degrees colder and the outside temperature is about 8 degrees warmer than during previous test.

I still have to check high pressure pipes sealing (those 2 between turbo & intercooler rubber hose) - I found some oil deposits around the junction - that may be the problem on low rpm.

po400 -yes it relates to egr but------go to live data air flow thru mass air flow meter this should rise as u accelerate and top out at peak revs ,holding acc the mass air flow should not drop and rise
ease off then blip throttle -fast rise in air flow
also check brake light possition switch as thi afects turbo on second circuit
