| I got a problem with a peugeot 307 CD/radio receiver. It was removed by previous owner to be sold separatelly but he changed his mind and sold it together with the car. I connected it again, it works but every 15-20seconds there is a very loud "beep". I can program any station I want, CD works, remote controll near steering wheel works too. Is there any special way to connect that radio?? There was no code with that radio but it didn't ask for a code. |

Hi, all Peugeot radios from 2001 are body coded. The radio is programmed with the chassis number of the orignal vehicle from the BSi. If this does not match the radio will have a beep. The only 2 ways of sorting this are 1) have the radio re-matched to the car by the Peugeot dealer of someone with equipment able to do this (i.e DEC)
2) have the chassis number of the vehicle written to the radio by a radio shop with decoding equipment.
It is possible the data is corrupt in the radio but more likely the radio is from a different car.
Regards

Thank's for the reply. I found it myself after scanning radio system - it had different VIN coded than the car. It works now after recoding by dealer.
BTW. in diagnostic mode radio works normally without beeps. |
