Hi
This car had these codes:
00561 Mixture adaptation
16514 P0130 O2 sensor sporadic ...circuit,blank 1-sensor1: malfunctio
17733 P1325 cylinder 1-knock control:limit attained
17735 P1327 cylinder 3-knock control :limit attained
this car misfires on low rpm... after I erased these codes it staid the same.
And the codes didn?t apear again...
Has any one had this problem before?
Regards

first of all look for leaks in intake system and exhaust manifold near O2 sensor.
Check O2 sensor - replace if it ran more than 160000km (100 000 for some older models), then check/replace spark plugs and HT wires, clean throttle body and perform throttle adaptation. |

Hi Yawor
Thank you for your help.
This was the first time I have change a o2 sensor.
It seems that it takes some time to get to the normal.
"perform throttle adaptation"
How can I do this?
Also this kind of diagnostic on vag group is a litle strange...we can see lots of information but we need to have the book on the side because all we can see is values an units...
How can I change or ajust some sensors in this kind of sistem?
Regards

clearing learned values & throttle body adaptation procedures are mentioned in "volkswagen audi seat skoda procedures" in your X431 software.
for VAG petrol engines after you change O2 sensor, clear or replace throttle body, disconnect battery etc. perform such operations:
1) clear learned values
2) let engine warm up to normal working temperature
3) perform throttle body adaptation
Some info about the meaning of VAG petrol engine blocks can be found here: http://home.att.net/~turbo20v/OBD_Codes.htm
It's for AWM but most of the blocks are the same for all engines. |

Hi Yawor
Problems....
I have changed the o2 sensor and a litle after the engine was working a lot beter.
The next day it was a lot worst...misfireind .
As you told me I cleared the the values but it does not let me do the throttle body adaptation.
When I try basic settings (098) or (060) it fails and I car hear a noise in the front of the car...but if I try (098) in mesuring blocks I can see some data and a error mensage on the botom.
The exaust sistem is rusti in the inside and the exaust noise is diferent from normal.
Can this be a reason for the o2 sensor to fail?

if there is a leak before O2 sensor or near after it can cause false O2 sensor readings.
There can also be a leak in the intake and engine will misfire.
Throttle body adaptation can be done only when engine is stopped and some ECUs also need ECT reading above 80degrees celsius.
Channel 098 is for engines with an accelerator cable, 060 mostly for "by wire" engines. |

Yes this car is with cable acelerator.
In this case you recomend to run the engine over 80? and then I shuld be able to run the Throttle body adaptation Channel 098
