Hi,
I'm having a problem with check engine lamp. I took the car for emissions testing and the car passed but they would not grant me tags because the check engine lamp was on. I took the car to the shop and they told me the would have to hook it up to the computer and reset the computer and it would cost a few hundred. My question is can I do this my self with out one of those hand help devices?
I had a 88 cadi and I was told the same thing and that one of those little computer things was like $500. After researching a bit I found out that I could run the diagnostics on the computer with the thermostat panel, and reset the codes, etc. Is there a way to do this with my Volvo?
