that is an injector with a build-in sensor which registrates start of injection. you can recognize him by the two wires attached to it.

Thanks,
I got the wires but do you have any idea of the measurement system requirements? I couldn?t get a continuity on the two injectors .what possibility does it have? Changing or adjusting the injectors?
Thanks again |

the resistance between the two wires is +/- 100 ohm. the signal can only be measured with a scope.

Hi janh
I?m so surprised on the car. I?m not good on diesel Engines and I couldn?t get the system, it hasn?t got a diesel injection pump, amazing technology!
The resistance of the two injectors is not as you specified, its 900 KHz. is there a method of adjusting it? Or shall I go for the new?
Thanks |

Thanks,
I changed the injector and the DTC has gone.
Incase it helps,
The company told me it?s called a common rail principle and explained, in order to optimize injector configuration for the respective engine model it is necessary to know the exact timing / displacement behavior of the needle valve, this information is delivered by an eddy current sensor built in to the injector.
Because of the physical limitation (i.e. practically no installation space), a sensor with very small dimensions is required. The solution here is the miniature version of the U05 eddy current sensor for commercial vehicle injector and S05 sensor for passenger car injector.
Measurement system requirement: 500?m
Resolution: 1?m
Bandwidth: 100KHZ
Interface field : electromagnetic field |
