I sent a question and received a email saying a reply had been posted however have not been able to find either.
My question was in relation to a 2003 audi a8, when I look at mesuring blocks it gives no explaination, is that normal or do I need updated downloads. Is there a list of ideal values that we can use to get a rough idea of what the values should be in CAN BUS as when I use OBD 2 plug and enter via Audi it wont access a lot of systems ie. Trans and ABS. I have since found that the fuel pumps are causing the problem and have had to give to dealer as unfamilar with tank set up.
Also I have ran into problems with a 1993 Mercedes with the 8 (possibly 9 as been a long time) pin plug as when I use the universal pins in an attempt to pull codes it asks you to use pin 0 although the only problem is they start at 1. Do you know if this is a typo error.
If you could assist that would be great.

Dear Mr. Aidan,
In regards to the problem encountered in the Mercedes, I may inform that the Universal 3 pins and the software are specific to be used with the 16 points connecter in some chassis of the older models.
In addition, i may also inform that if you power the scanner from battery directly or thourhg cigarette lighter adapter please make sure that the Red and Black termianl ends of the Universal 3 pin are properly protected from shorting by using the black insulating cap provided.
Regards,
